Where does your operation fit?

Make-to-Order:

Your product is built once an order is placed. There may be common parts between products but each individual product may have its own unique characteristics. Occasionally, the item may receive a repeat order at a later date.

• Allowing you to purchase materials directly to the MTO job.

Configure-to-Order:

Your customer can define the component make-up or configuration of a product based on pre-defined rules and options when the order is placed such as: color, length, material, etc. It’s difficult to maintain predetermined finished goods inventory with this environment.

Assemble-to-Order:

Your product tends to be assembled once an order is placed and can be shipped within a short lead-time. There tends to be a juggling act between maintaining the correct amount of subassembly and raw material inventory, and managing shipment deadlines.
